Preparing for the Storm
My granddaughter Zoe just turned 12. She composed a short devotional and emailed it to me. I’ll read it to you.
She calls it “Preparing for the storm”
We all have times of prosperity, and we all have times of trouble. During the pleasant times we sometimes are not ready for the storm. I am not saying a real storm with rain, I mean our times of trouble. I do not mean to focus on the bad things that would bring you down, but to be ready when they come. I am going to use a farm for example. Most of the time before a storm comes, farmers must make sure the animal’s shelters are secured and reliable for them. The farmers are not FEARFUL of the storm, they are just preparing for the storm. That is how we as Christians need to be. We do not know when the storm is coming but we know how to deal with it. Through everything we need to be ready!
Amen, Zoe! Wisdom there! Don’t fear, but prepare by getting very close to Jesus! Because a GREAT STORM IS COMING UPON THE EARTH! It has to because the earth has gone mad! BLATANT celebration of all kinds of evil, including national and world leaders who sexually abuse then murder our many thousands of innocent children they’ve kidnapped. Look at the Epstein Island cover-up. No justice! They think they’re safe because they “have each other’s backs” But Proverbs 11:21 says, “Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall NOT go unpunished.” God is rolling up His sleeve and making a fist. Choose sides now and stand bravely with your King!
